The purpose of the
Portrait Society of America
is to foster and enhance an understanding
of the practice, techniques and applications of traditional
fine art portraiture and figurative works. It has a prestigious
and international list of members.
Each year this organization holds two international
competitions; a themed member competition and an open competition.
Mrs. Hash was honored to have her portrait of Thomas selected
as the First Place winner in the Portrait Society of America's
2009 Member Competition - Pastel Medium.
