The commissioning of a portrait is an exciting time. It is an investment in an heirloom that will be cherished for generations. As such, it will require a number of consultations with the artist to ensure that the legacy you wish to record is handled with accuracy and professionalism.

Below is a description of the commissioning process that Brenda Hash follows with her clients. Approximate time allowances for each meeting are indicated. The total time to complete any given portrait is dependant on the artist's current schedule, but is typically six months.

Contract Agreement (one hour session)
Photo Shoot (two - three hour session)
Photo Selection (one hour session)
Sketch Review (30 minute session)
Portrait Review (30 minute - one hour session)
