Contract Agreement (one hour session)

Mrs. Hash will meet with the client to determine the following criteria for their portrait: formality, location, number of subjects, choices for clothing, personal props to be used, approximate unframed size of finished portrait, and final hanging location.

It will be particularly important at this point for Mrs. Hash to spend time with the subject(s) to begin to understand their personality and the particular characterstics and interests that should be present in the final painting. Having worked as a software engineer and now a mother of two boys, Mrs. Hash is equally comfortable with children as she is adults in the business world.

The client will then be asked to sign a Portrait Contract which will itemize the decisions made above.

The client will also be asked to consider signing a Model Release Form which gives Mrs. Hash the right to use images of the painting for advertisement purposes.

Finally the client will remit the commission deposit (see Fees) which authorizes work on the portrait to begin.
