Ode to Degas

The French artist, Edgar Degas, is one of the pastel world's most famous forefathers. He is famous for his ballerina paintings, many of which depict them adjusting their clothing and slippers. That was the inspiration for this piece, which started as a demonstration for a local art league. I felt it deserved to be completed, and I'm pleased it found its way into a collectors hands.
